Residential Zone Parking

Chicago residents living within an established Residential Parking Zone may be eligible to purchase Chicago Residential Parking Daily Permits, which are guest passes that are valid for 24 hours upon the date and time of display. By law, the date and time must be printed in ink, and the permit must be displayed in the lower passenger corner of the windshield.

To establish (or re-establish) current residency within a Residential Parking Zone, please visit one of our three offices or email the following: 
  

  • Any government issued ID such as a U.S. Passport or U.S. Military ID  

AND any of the following documents that include the same name and the updated and complete address:  

  • A current mortgage or lease (within 12 months);  

  • Property tax (within 12 months);  

  • A bill for any of the following utilities or services (within 30 days):  

  • Water, gas or electric;  

  • Landline phone (cell phone bill NOT accepted);  

  • Satellite or cable television;  

  • USPS Change of Address Confirmation.
